My personal choice is the moderator from a Weihrauch HW100, I use it regularly and have also found that when fitted to the wifes' .22 s/a Anschutz it is very effective.
2 months ago we put 500rnds through it in a bid to try and destroy the moderator, and although it did get a tad hot it continued to work well, our decibel monitor showed that the performance wasn't compromised either.

SAK moderator works well on BSA Scorpion and Ultra, designed for rimfire but extremely good on air rifles ( and reasonably priced ) and they are not huge great big things, so dont upset balance or defeat object of having a compact rifle.

    What's the best silencer ?
Bit like asking what's the best rifle.
I like the HW, Swift, Decimeater, AWT silencers in no particular order.
From other replies it would seem the AWT, Decimeater, Swift & HW is liked in no particular order.
For all the poor souls on here who are just looking in on this post for suggestions about the quietest silencer & don't fancy risking buying a bad un I suggest you consider buying any of the following.
Decimeater, AWT, Swift & HW in no particular order.
One huge problem is most buyers are only be able to walk into a shop & buy what a dealer suggests.
One method shops employ to show how good a silencer is, hold an unsilenced rifle up & loudly say test fireing to benifit, Ie not scare other shoppers not at the counter, when quiet, it allways goes quiet, dry fire then screw on a silencer, holding the rifle down & while telling you how good it is fire pointing to the floor when the back ground noise is back to normal.
    Marvalous, I'll have one.
Or buy one s/hand by post without seeing it first.
For many it has to look the part as well, I prefer performance over fashion but each to their own.
Went out with a mate a few weeks ago, he asked what silencer I was useing as he thought it was very quiet.
    Hogan Decimeater.

What's the best air rifle silencer ?
In truth no on can agree as seen from these replies.
Just like air rifles, you can choose from the good, bad & ugly.
Ask a simple question to any one selling a s/hand silencer so quiet you can hear only the action.
What are you replaceing it with.
When buying from a shop don't ask what do you recomend, ask what the shop owner uses..
If possible take your rifle with you to the shop & test fire on your rifle, not one off the shelf.

Had one of these on my MK4STIS it was quiet but don't think there was a lot between the weihrauch silencer and the new daystate my opinion keep the one you got and save your money better still see if you can try a daystate silencer without parting with your cash give it a go.

I have this fitted to my T-10, all you hear is the hammer strike from behind the gun and just a small 'puff' is your along side, its just under 40mm wide and specifically designed for .177. I don't know who built it as I purchased it from Bellycrawler (I'd love to know please mate) but I'd highly recommend it,

well im still going with the nutshot silencer for ultimate silence, hands down beats a hw, beats awt fac silencer, beats logun qgs, at 12 ft/lb it was literally unaudible, all you hear is action noise, and on my mates rapid at 30 ft/lb it was literally the same as it was on a 12 ft/lb gun, if you want something extra special, get a nutshot, will put vid up on youtube when i order my rapid next week.

Another advantage with the Decimeater over the Weihrauch is an all metal construction.
One of the reasons why the Wehrauch is no good on many FAC rated rifles ?
The plastic curlers move when subjected to the air blast ?
The decimeater is also slightly shorter & British made.
