    original 35 age

just got an original 35 it has a lot of checkering on the stock, has anyone an idea of age , it appears to be all there just requires a good clean and lube what can be expected power wise from this model.

Could be a 35B. There may be a date on the l/h side as you hold it just above the stock and below the scope rail in very tiny numbers. Month and year.

At a guess I would say pre mid 1960s but dont put money on that.

If its got chequering on the forend like THIS (sorry about the naff photo) it will be a 'B' variant.

The photo was of an Original 50B I have in my collection. The 35B has a similar stock - that looks like someone has been practising chequering on - but is, as you have stated, a break barrel.
