    Make it two: both XL's.

If Jan sees mine, she'll want one too!

Now this is a 'serious' target, one dedicated for the better shooter, definetly counts me out . It's a rendition of a Rifle Bench Rest Competition.

I'm also thinking of using this target for our next paid competition. As for this one 'will' be for the shoots skill & not just luck

Let me know what you think & I'll take it from there.
    Regards
    Paddy.
Oh yeah, it certainly is. I was shooting the spring and SSP today and had a go at the side shoot with the Original 6M...

    ....and scored TEN!

I hit all but one target too, but all those -25s if you break the outer ring did for me

I'll see how the PCP goes tomorrow before I decide which to submit, but I don't hold out too much hope of bettering this score.

    Hi Mike.

If you look in the center of the target, there is a diagram of how the scoring works. It has circled pellet strikes of where & how the individual targets are scored.

You score 10 if you cut both the inner and outer edges of the outer boundary ring. If you fail to cut the inner edge it's -25, as is a complete miss. It effectively means that the thick black ring is not part of the target. Any miss is punished by a minus score.

    I think.....

Paddy might be quick, but your explanation is easier to read

Didn't read the instructiions properly for this before, it's going to be a real test of skill. That's me out then
Mind you there's no time limit, so maybe I could shoot one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

That would give at least 2 - 3 hours to stop the shakes & wobbles

    Scoring

    Hi Mickson
And anyone else who is confused. I can understand that.

BR50 is a rifle discipline and they recon that with your rifle on a stand and on a bench you simply should not miss. You guys have it harder since you are shooting unsupported so 10 is not a BAD score. I recon Paddy should send a spoon to the greatest negative score.
In order to penalise sloppy bench shooters they have come up with a formula that punishes bad shooting. So if you hit the thick black outer ring cleanly you get 10 points. If you nick the outer edge you get -25 because you score outwards on this target. same happens if you nick the INNER edge of the thick black outer ring, 10 points. Since there are only two other score zones using the same rules it's simple to score.
Oh Yeah, all of the score zones will accomodate a .22 with space around it.

Sorry this was so long winded but the Original rules are REALLY complicated. I can only get the original target on a Paste Together sheet but if any one wants it I'll put it on Targetbunny. Just remember to acknowledge the original designer if you print it off.

    Hits

    Hi Jef
Sorry to say that according to the rules You actually MISSED a lot of them.
If you score 10 then the only ring you have scored on is the outer black which means that you manged to score on 1 target. In turn this means that you have had to miss (and score -25s) enough times to cancel out your scores on other targets you hit and?????
I think my brain just exploded
