Yes, I realise that Jim. I actually "hit" the target every time bar one, but because of the outward scoring, those that cut the outer edge of the boundary count as a miss. I was just trying to indicate that my shooting was better than the score indicated

Technically then, I only hit the target four times but scored 3 fifties and a ten, but 6 "misses" wiped out the three fifties

Whatever, it is a very testing target, can't wait to try it with a PCP, Saturday I hope.

    Hi Jef

I've had ago with the this testing target with my HW45 & HW40, I won't say how I done, but I will put up a relative smiley ~ ~

If you want to & to anyone else you can submit more than one pistol to me & I'll post them.

Right oh mate, I've got three more copies of the target already printed, so I'll try the Compact, Steyr and something else, and see if I can beat 10

This is going to be fun*

    *fun = embarrassing

That was the best Side Shoot yet, thanks Jim & Paddy.

    Not easy but good fun

I've just sent 2 sets of scores in, one for the HW40 & one for the 8" Smith.

    Thanks guys

    Hi all

Submitted scores so far are as follows

    Spring ~ 8
    SSP ~ 12
    Co2 ~ 10
    T.Co2/PCP ~ 7

Sideshoot ~ 8 seperate scores, two people have submited two pistols. With some real good scores & so real bad scores

Last day tomorrow to get your scores in, if you haven't tried the sideshoot, you should as it is real testing one

    Regards
    Paddy.

    My scores are in.

Curious comment in Paddy's acknowledgement though.

I had thanked him for all the hard work organising the comps and he said the hard work kept him sane

If that's sane who the hell inhabits the country's nut houses.

I just hope the asylum doors never break open

I had a second go at the side shoot with the Steyr to see if I could beat the 10 I scored with the original 6M. Well I did, I scored 45, still not particularly good . I found this target very testing yet hugely enjoyable, very strange

I'm not sure , but I think you may have incorrectly scored your side shoot. If you look closely at the instructions and the picture that Jim provided it is only if the pellet breaks the outer barrier ONLY that is a -25. If it has touched/broken the 25 ring you will score 10.

This is how I scored mine & both my scores were higher than yours & in all seriousness you are a better shot than I am. Please check them again.

Mind you, I might have got better

I did score correctly (I checked three times against the inner explanatory target to try and improve my score); I managed to 'hit' the target 5 times breaking the outer edge only, and one complete miss = -150, then I had three at 50 , making my total 0 and one pellet straddled the black line for 10
So much for the spring class.
For the PCP I used the Steyr LP50 and managed to 'hit' all the targets this time , but still only hit the outer edge on four, -100 , than one 50 and two 25s gave me +100, score 0 , and finally another 25 and two 10s gave me a final score of 45, better, but still not a memorable score.
    It was fun though
