    an unusual Relum

i've just got a relum tornado which i think is a bit odd, the reason being is its .177 and the only 177 tornado ive ever seen is the small baby model, can anyone shed any light on this.

Thank fully Im no expert on the 'Hungarian Swamp Donkey' (a.k.a. Relum Tornado) but Dennis Hiller [looks south and bows very low] writes in his book AIR RIFLES (enlarged 3rd edition), of the Tornado, quote:

    ' ... Only available in .22'

Sounds like youve got a collectors item there.

The FEG/RelumTornado was produced in .177, and not only as the baby variety, but it seems to have much arer that the .22. A few are kown from the contintnet (where they were retailed by other importers like Grotthaus). Your example then is very unusual.

What sort of stock does it have? the later fluted type or the earlier with the single finger grips?

    relum tornado 177

the rifle is the second patern with the dark stock and adjustable rear sight, if you look very closely you can just see the name umerex and the F pentagon 4.5 below the loading tap. luckily the tornado is in very good condition
