    Baikal Izh46.

Second hand there are other non-pcp target pistols, I think the Baikal is the only one still in production though.

Waiting for a FWB 100 mike - Fantastic build quality, as are all FWB's.
There's also the Walther LPM1 or a real retro favourite of mine, the Pardini Fiocchi K58 (or the earlier P10.)
    All SSPs, all match grade.
All of these were top of the range pistols that you'd pay top dollar for then - closer to 300 quid now. Bargains!

    How about the Alecto?

You've been the biggest supporter of this pistol since it first broke ground, courtesy of yourself if I believe correctly.

I bought one and sold it to cookie as it did not suit me, grip too small for me.

    Have you tried one yet?

There's a very nice looking FWB 90 in the sales section.
Marvellous piece of engineering with an Electric trigger if memory serves....

Indeed good prices, when i thought i'd got to give up for health reason i sold 1 pistol to many, now new drugs & physio easing my knackered shoulder so i'm looking for a decent pistol to continue shooting, although less intensive than before. The pistols U list, plus the baikal sound like the sort of thing i'm looking for atb...mike...

The Alecto might be a good pistol, but there are better

Is CO2 an option? If yes, another vote for the Tau 7! I own a Tau 7 Match and 2 pcp matchpistols, but I stíll shoot best with that Tau 7.
If yr after spring: the 65's are good, but Í dont like them. Balance is off and dont cock very easy. A bit awkward imo.
    Buts personal.
Dont forget great pistols like the Diana 10. I own a 6M, shoots lovely.
And yes, there are many nice SSP's too.
Alecto, HW40 etc are all good, but no matchpistols.
There is no BEST, thats always personal. What suits mé might not suit yóu.

As you say, personal preference re balance etc, but I find my 65 is the easiest to cock of all my non-PCP, non-CO2 pistols. They can be awkward if you just grip the pistol grip, and pull the lever with the other hand so having to apply a strong twisting force with your right hand.

I've found the easiest way is to keep hold of the pistol grip in right hand and just to brace the side of the muzzle against my leg (inside left knee) then just pull the lever back with my left hand. So little effort I can do it with one finger.
