    i thought i read somewhere that the dual power ones you can either cock it half way or fully

    if it says .177 near the muzzle it will be a dual power as all .177 hw45's have this facility.
    if its an old model in .22 then theres a good chance its only a single power model.

    half power should be roughly at 90deg.

    I think half cocked and fully cocked is correct , thats if it has the dual feature ?

    If this is a dual power model you will have 2 cocking positions. The 1st leaves the top section almost vertical, the 2nd position takes the top further on. That's an awful description I know but when you try you'll understand.

    Just use 2 types of pellet, one heavy and one light. Et voila! 2 power levels.
