Laity 58! Must've been a few gimmies! Top shooting all, especially Cameron.

Today saw round 4 at Lea Valley with a good turnout, good weather and a great course. The LV course setters got it just right, with a fine balance of tricky shots and clever target placements - along with a few gimme's. There were very few stoppages, so the day went pretty much without a hitch. I would like to say a big thanks to LV for putting on a fantastic days shooting and well done to Rog B and his crew for all the hard work i know went into setting up and Gretal for the catering. Also thanks to Sarah & Sue for saving me from the clerical nightmare of booking in and sorting out all the scores + paperwork.

The toxicity of lead varies, depending upon the weight of its doseage and its velocity!
Oops I forgot to put that these people earned their 4th Gold Badge and were awarded a Platinum Badge:

Another superb days shooting so a big thanks to all those involved in the organisation and setting up
For once it wasn’t me that was guilty of b*ggering about with scopes (I’d even checked that the mounts and the silencer to make sure nothing was in imminent danger of making a bid for freedom). Nope, Dad decided on the zero range that he was shooting low and duly wound his scope up 10 clicks. I won’t say another word about what happened next.
Suffice to say that combined with splitting his waterproof trousers he wasn’t been a happy bunny.
I on the other hand actually managed a half decent score!! I know, I’m not sure what happened either….I was probably using the aim points from a different gun.
Don’t worry, usual service will be resumed shortly…
Gutted.... missed the platinum by a long way today... knew I should have gone back to bed when I was woken up by my lift this morning @ 6am... > That will teach me to be out till 2am
Good course though. Just gutted by the deffo 2 inexplicable shots that dropped low @ 30ish yds > that will also teach me to make sure the rifle is performing & to remember I'm not shooting the HMR & getting lazy with rangefinding I suppose
I know what you mean. There is nothing worse than shooting something that is zeroed at 200 yards and then shooting HFT. I find that double hard. I would have given no wind and nothing below cross hair today at all. I have to rethink everything . I had a lovely day today, great fun . Good course too...Not for Guy though...Thanks all whom were involved.
LAity
Lots and lots of guns !
A thoughroughly enjoyable day shooting with my boys, didn't miss many for a change, cost me nearly as much in food for the 2 of them as it did in entry fees, 2 McD breakfasts, several bacon rolls, burgers cakes and cans,
Looking forward to MAD 'cause they want to do it again.

If you know how many guns you’ve got, you haven’t got enough.

Great day out, thanks to all and very well done to the 59ers.
Shame really that Rog L equalled my score, would like to have beaten him, but then my score card did reflect what i had scored and not what i would have like to have scored
Nice to beat Mr Blackscale for once. even if he was boinging
Well done for getting the scores up so quick, and thank you to the course setters.
P.S. Colin M, stay at home more often
was an excellent day will be looking forward to ford in a couple of weeks
hope i can match a good score for my 1st southern hunters shoot .

On behalf of LV I would like to say thanks to Mark and all the SH crew especially Sarah and Sue for booking in duties.
Thanks to Bob for helping out and Gretel and her girls for the grub. Also all LV members who helped clear away and help out generally.
Special thanks to Andy Y for assisting me in the set up when I started to run out of steam , well after I had fallen down a slope in the woods and done me back in
The weather was very kind with barely a breeze, hence the glut of high scores
In the end, the course just won, with no clearances (how sad).
As for Laity, I don't know what to say, he keeps doing well
Cheers to all who turned up, over 100, and who contributed to Help 4 Heroes via tea/coffee donations. Apparently there was around £100 in the tin so well done all Southern Hunter shooters
Regards
Rog

Pics of the day.
Superb pictures, Thanks Mark.
I especially like the dedicated 'kill zone' or 'monk impression' picture ....
No doubt one day I will have the same 'cranium cooling zone apparatus'.
Cheers, Phil
