help! s410, empty air cylinder - can't refill

    as heading

I use a pump and am getting nowhere!
I assume that there is not enough pressure to keep the valve thingy closed and so to refill I will have to use a bottle?

(its not a leak as the i deliberatly emptied the rifle)

    thanks

Try cocking it and then filling - but just remember you have cocked the rifle when you fill it;-)

    Should do the trick

Please tear carefully along the perforation.

Find out if your local gun shop fills rifles if so get it filled there to get you started again, if the cocking method doesn't work. Ask at your local gun club.

Sometimes the valve sticks open when it is totally emptied. You might even hear the air coming out the end of the barrel. Try putting your finger over the end of the barrel while you give it a few pumps of air.(make sure its not loaded first!!)

You are going to have to get a divers bottle fill to re-seat the seals.

    thanks guys

    i've tried cocking it

i imagine that a single stroke from the pump does not provide enough pressure to close the valve so during the up stroke the pump is simply sucking the air back out of the cylinder.

prob needs a service anyway so no probs

    Cam,

    Fill in your location mate.

If you are in the South East of London, perhaps you can find your way to Greenwich and then you can use my bottles.

If its too far, perhaps someone else near your location can sort you out.
