January Police Pistol REALLY started on 30 January

Yes, everyone, after my usual attempt to start it prematurely, I'm (also, as usual) announcing its real start a bit late: but suffice it to say it DID start yesterday, and it runs until 2200, UK time, on 07 February.

Usual Main Match rules and target, and we have a GREAT Side Match target, coutesy Target Bunny and Paddy.

    He's right you know.

I've checked and it did start yesterday.

Take heart though Jim, starting prematurely is a lot better than finishing....

guess who's got a snazzy new laser just for the police pistol comp

will hopefully be submitting a score for the optics category assuming the batteries don't run out from getting my dog to chase it all the time

im down to about a third of a tin of pellets now though and jsr haven't put up there pellet line so i hope ive got enough to shoot the comp

    And the Winners are...

All the results are in for the January Police Pistol competition and here are the results!

In the OPTICAL Division: we were pleased to see FOUR competitors this time.

JEFL scored a 248 using a Colt 1911 with NC Star Red Dot sights and DN Geco pellets. Many love that old pistol, it's always been a champ in cartridge shoots, and it's good to see its CO2 clone represented in the UBC events.

Bronze was catured by PAUL55, the pistolero formerly known as The Shootist. Paul scored a 261 with his Walther CP99 with CP99 official laser, and RWS Geco pellets.

Silver fell to PHILG, one of our most consistent entrants and performers. Phil shot a 281 with his massive Umarex Smith with 8 inch barrel, using a Weaver Red Dot sight and RWS Geco pellets.

And the big champ in the Optical Division: SOL1821, at 284, armed with a CP88 Competition, Geco pellets, and Laser sight.

    In the OPEN Division...

PAD E. scored a 204 with his Skif.

JEFL scored a 239 with his Smith and Wesson 586 and DN Geco pellets.

ADAMK scored a 266 with his CP88 Competition and those ubiquitous DN Geco pellets.

Then came JANMc with a score of 269 using a Smith with a six uinch barrel, and HN Match pellets.

In Fourth position: FRONTBRAKE, with a score of 270. Alan used a Beretta 92FS and, guess what, there go those Geco pellets again!

Bronze was a TIE: PAUL55, and JIMMc both scored 274 and both using Smiths! Paul with an 8 inch barrel on his 586, and Geco pellets again: and Jim's 686 with a 6 inch barrel, and HN Precision Match pells.

In second place: MIKE145, with a score of 281, using a C225 and RWS Hobby pellets.

And narrowly squeezeing out Mike for Top Honors: the Winner, SOL1821, with a score of 282! The CP88 Comp shows up again here: and, those Geco pellets again!

SIDE Match: ALL were Open division entrants.

    PADDY: 30.

    JANMc: 41.

    JIMMc: 42.

    FRONTBRAKE: 43.

In Third Place: JEFL with a 44.

    In Second Place: PAUL55 with a 48.

And the Winner is.....a 3-way tie!

MIKE145, SOL1821, and ADAM77K all turned in perfect scores of 50! Mighty fine hootin' there, boys!

So, there we are till next time, everyone. Keep on shooting!
