    gun collections and blueing

    Hi,

Is there any other method of keeping the gun metal free from rust?

I've a few rifles again, and I just cant afford to reblue every gun. I know from past experience 'paint' seems to be too thick for moving parts ie breech jaws/barrel (on break barrels)

Has anyone got anyother tips/suggestions on what i can do?? I've guessed blueing is the only option

What do you guys do? do you reblue a gun at a time? (if it needs doing)

    Thanks
    Andrew

Rub over with a cloth soaked in silicone oil and wrapped in greaseproof paper before putting away.

Bought a proper hot blueing setup.

Expensive but rust now holds no fear for me
