Looks like there is going to be a bit of wind for this one - should make it interesting.

Can anyone point me to an idiots guide to windy shooting?

I use a duplex ret and all I hear on courses is 'I gave that 1,2,3 or 4 mil dots wind. Is there a simple rule of thumb I can try as I have no idea really what I'm doing in breezy shoots!

    Ta,

    Steve.

    its easy....

....if the target is sub 35yds:just move scope left to right untill the target is 'just' not visible.
if the target is over 35yds:dont bother!

TBH if it is really windy at Ford you dont really need milldots

If you can see the target in your scope when you pull the trigger its a donut, if you cant see the target when you pull the trigger you may get a point, listen carefully.......

Legend has it that it was sooo windy once that Simmmo actually aimed out of the kill...

(It was only a myth though)

On full mag...assuming you have a 'normal' sort of scope, the 'Thick line' is around a mildot!
    Very Roughly 45mm at 45yds.
