    Daisy 717 lever

Curious about this one. Should the cocking lever fall away from the body of the pistol when it is not cocked, or does it have some type of locking device?

If you've got one of these you'll understand I hope.

It does stay firmly shut if you cock the pistol and then pull it back. It's only after it's been fired that it falls away under it's own weight.

I haven't noticed that happening with my 747: which is the 717 with an upgraded barrel.
