    I.J. another nice one Have to say mine isn't quite as nice on a .177 35E but it does have plenty of colour. The early rifles seem to have had some lovely walnut; shame that you don't get it now on the modern factory offerings. Definitely makes collecting the older stuff, even if the basic rifle is still made, well worth the effort.

    Now a walnut Original 45, Webley Omega would be interesting (after market). I'll give AA some credit while we are on the subject as they still do some pretty good walnut.

    Ian- that looks to be exhibition grade walnut and wouldn't look out of place on a Purdy S/G

    to describe it as beautiful would be a massive understatement
