Do I need a new spring and piston seal?

After about 40 years my Webley MK3 has lost a lot of power.
The free length of the this original spring is 8 3/8" long does it need replacing or will it serve another few years service with a replacement piston seal.
If a replacement is needed what spring would you recommend and from where?

I got one from Chambers (a seal assy too!) but never fitted it and gave it to its new owner with the rifle. Looked pretty good to me!

    Good luck

    Many thanks Top Dog

Hi. Top dog I have just ordered an OX spring and piston seal parts from Chambers Gunsmiths, we will see what their service level like.
When you take any of these old Webley rifles or pistols apart you can see why they remain in a serviceble condition over such long periods of time with the minimum of maintence.
