    Air cane valve

deleted by owner as, on reflection, maybe not appropriate.

    Hi Phil,

Me thinks the original valves were of horn.... so I guess delrin might do the job..but of coarse you won't be able to use the cane because they are considered to be over the 12ft/lbs limit & as such only collectable...& not to be used, but I understand you wanting it to be servicable.

If all else fails, a certain Mr Armatruda might have an idea or two

In any case assuming one had the requisite fac, it would be very sensible to do a hydraulic test on the air reservoir of any ancient precharged air gun if contemplating use, i heard of a bloke many years ago on a muzzleloading day who had a lot of fingers missing, on being asked how he lost them it transpired he had tried to charge a very old ball reservoir & it burst.
