Hi John, you mention in the description that the barrel weights blueing is thin, I believe that they were finished with a dull matt finish to stop light reflections interfering with your aim, I know that mine is the same.
These are superb guns with the best trigger I have ever used and at £160 a bargain..Dave...

I must admit I am very surprised that it has not been snapped up at this price
As well as a collectable rifle it shoots very well at 10 metres and off the bench at 25 yds with the barrel weight on

The sights or trigger are worth the price, but I have just too many rifles these days and funds are needed elsewhere
