Talking Top Up Bottles what's out there??

Having hopefully sorted myself out with a new PCP , not a Hornet but a Lighthunter, I am interested in a small top up bottle.

I’ve got a 7l C/F 300 Bar but I’m wondering if there is anything small and light I could use to top up with, maybe something that would just give three or four top up’s?

What options are out there? Anything like the buddy bottles used with the small BSA pcp’s?

If you know of anything or can tell me were I might find out please let me know.

You mean something like this? Don't know if they're still available but I'd like one to top up my Falcon pistol during competitions.

I've got a buddy bottle sized cylinder layin in the garage there with a standard "tap" valve on it. SWP only 205 bar, but would make a decent top up rig if you could pick up a guage for it?

That set up from ISP looks about right. Do you think the pressure guage is good enough?

Ive mailed Shaun at ISP if they are available I'll post the price.

I've mailed Clubshot on the Forum as well cause he seems so well informed about air fittings.

Stalker Rifles sells John Bowkett made versions that work with 200cc or 400cc bottles. The one I have is fitted with JBs quickfill system that looks remarkably like the one on the AA TDR. I believe JB has fitted his quickfill/inlet valves to several AAs over the years I have been using mine for a long while now. I bought it originally to work with a custom made pcp pistol and when 200cc BSA buddy bottles became available it was modified to suit,

Was a call earlier in the year for small top up bottles , chased around and found that the only safe viable bottles was the 3 Litre , smaller bottles was available but was got real high for lower capacity.
Taking into acount the cost of fitting a Gauge and release valve , which costs around the £50.00 mark

As to attempt to fill a gun without contol and gauge can be dangerous to owner and gun

From recent orders for 3 Litre 300 Bar Bottles ( Faber ) it would seem this is the way many shooters are going these days.

Especially when you can get boots and stand them inside back packs.

Most Shooters these day's that own more than one gun, use a universal female from gauge , them use a male connector to attach to gun.

    Check out www.midlanddiving.com
there is pictures of different tops and accessories.

I still have a couple of 12 Litres and 3 Litres on standby , with No names on

I’ve got a 7L 300Bar C/F bottle for bulk storage but I would still like something small and more portable. There are pictures on the ISP site of something that seems to be based on a buddy bottle with standard fittings.

I had a look at some of the paint ball sites and found a treasure trove of fittings, on/off valves, adjustable REGULATORS and on and on. Many of these fittings have a SWP of 4500PSI. Ideal!

So it could go buddy bottle/(on/off+bleed)/(regulator)/(fill probe). Set the reg to the right pressure and its probe’n go.

You’re right though it’s probably not worth the cost , although a gauge is a more economic substitute for a the reg.

I was most impressed by a regulator for Co2 , one of those would remove most of Co2’s disadvantages right up until the day it’s so cold that the gas never gets on reg.

Pity you ignored my post. I have just spoken to JB and he sells them for a hell of a lot less than that.

Does JB's version have a pressure gauge? How much does he charge for them?

    Cheers

Of course there is a pressure gauge. Best contact him yourself and he will give you all the information you want regarding fittings for gun types etc. Mine has one of his quickfill systems, you just hook it over the gun fitting. Been using mine for years now without any probs.
