s16 triger & speed bolt job by SCR

    hi
me and my mate are gonna be sending our s16's to staffordshire custom rifles shortly to get the action and the triggers sorted on em, however before they go for definate we'd like to know if anyone has had this done on their s16 and what they thought of the result, to be fair its not an expensive thing to have done to the gun at about£60 quid ic postage but would still like someone elses opinion whos already had it done.

    thanks in advance

Never had or want an S16, but if Dave Brayford (SCR) is going to do the job, then it will be a pukka one. Cant see any reason not to send it .

    lol your only jealous

he seemed a nice guy when i phoned him but would like to know ppls veiws who have had it done,i too run a shop and must admit that if someone wants something from me then it instantly becomes brilliant (as its my job to sell it)
not saying he's lieing or out like that, but would like to know what ppl think who have had it done lets face it ive already wasted best part of £500 on the s16 and i dont wanna waste more on it if the if the trigger and action job will make little to no differance

I think you will find Dave is not like that, infact he stopped me spending money with him as he recond I would be wasting it, if I had what I wanted doing himself out of £60 in the process. Dave actually uses a .177 S16 that he built himself for the UKAHFT series, as I bought his best rifle off him.

er no, I don't think it would. Why? Becasue the same bloke namely Dave Brayford who's doing the Mods carrys out all the Warrenty work on em he's 1 (possably the only autherised Repairer? Don't shoot me if this is wrong) I have been there lkooking what he does to em I take my hate off to him.

Another good point & BoNeS saiod a while back "look there are loads of people out there who do modds to air Rifles & the bits that go on em! most have fans who love em & those who are unhappy with em. Dave Brayford is one of them who he (come to think of it me too) haven't got a bad word to say about his work, he'd rather wait another day sending it back if he isn't happy"

I have to admit I am not now or ever been a fan of the S16 but the one's he's played with look & perform like they really should if you know what I mean.

    Hope it Helps

Daves a top guy, I ONLY go to him when I need work doing on my guns, he charges a fair price for a quality job and he doesn't 'big' things up.

His work on the S16's is excellent (no I don't have one, but I have seen some of the things he's done with them).

Dave did the work on Samantha's bullpupped Mk3 and we couldn't recommend him highly enough. He has spent a lot of time sorting problems with the early S16s and knows his stuff. If anyone can do the jobs you need done well it would be SCR.

    Regards,

    David

Whatever work Dave does, it's worthwile - he really knows his stuff. He'll advise you against modifications that don't work and you'll be charged a very decent price for improvements.
