hi, thanks for the daigram mick,my problem lies with the new piston head, spoke to chambers today [very nice chaps]they do have an altenative head which they are sending for me to try hopefully it will fit and problem sorted,cheers..greasemonkey

hi all,gun all assembled and shooting now..thanks everbody for sharing your knowledge with me.. had the metalwork hot caustic blacked/blued.mechanics went ok once i got the correct piston head.. i machined up a delrin spring guide and top hat and made up a plastic piston liner,only shot a dozen or so pellets through it so far but it shoots quite nice for an old springer.its doing a tad under 11fpe which i am happy with.next job on it i am looking forward to ,refinishing of the walnut stock.does anyone know a good method of refinshing the gold lettering on the compression chamber?,cheers greasemonkey
