how about using the 25m rapid fire pistol comp at the olympics as a side shoot, same rules and target but scaled to 6yards

I'm not sure that using a single rapid fire target would be all that interesting. As I recall, the event requires you to fire 1 shot on each of 5 separate targets, in ever-shortening time intervals.

It was never a popular event in the US. Here, NRA Bullseye was very popular, until practical / action events displaced them. The International events, such as rapid fire or free pistol, were never popular.

Nice idea Sol but I think it would give too big an advantage to those with 5 shot true semiauto match pistols. The Umarex multishots would be at a huge disadvantage due to heavy double action triggers.

had a go today and was able to keep it within a 2inch circle single handed.

using 5 of the 4inch targets supplied by jsr in a row and i kept it in the black.

was just using up the end of a co2 bulb so didn't have enough gas to try 2 handed but it would solve the problem of pulling off target so its doable with reasonable results
