    BSA Airsporter Mk. 2

I have a rather nice mk. 2 Airsporter. Unfortunately the 3 piece stock has come apart. I'm going to glue it again but I was wondering if any later Airsporter stock would fit the mk. 2 action. What are your thoughts?

    Mk11

I am afraid that the later Airsporter stocks will only fit if you have them machined out for the Mk11 action that includes the tap opening linkage

Also stock fore-end holes would need filling and later stocks can be rather plain

Why not just repair the original stock with a good wood glue. Clean/degrease the joint faces thoroughly first and then clamp the joint until dry mounted on a flat surface top down with fore-end screw/bolt fitted.

    Thanks for the replies.

I think I will take your advice and glue it again. I would be tempted with Scirroco"s offer but he thinks his BSA is a Mk. 3. and I don't know wether the action will fit my Mk 2. (Do Mk. 3 Airsporters' have the self-opening loading tap?)
