    Meteor

Looks like a Mark 2 rear sight. Also to be found on the BSA Armatic semi auto rimfire!

Full length scope dovetails on a MkII? Did they change from the two pair of short rails part way through the production run? Maybe it's a MkII barrel grafted onto a later rifle.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

I think Harry mac is right, i overlooked the scope rails in the first pic. on my meteor the scope rails are the two pair type.

    Meteor

The Mark 2 was made from May 1962 to June 1966 and I have seen an early Mark 2 with a grooved stock and the 16mm scope stampings. I imagine your gun is a late Mark 2 with the full length scope grooves...NA for .177 and TA for .22.

    Meteor

It looks to be complete and in reasonable nick so I would say, sight unseen, £60. Not as popular as the Mark 1 but probably a lot better than the later models.
