    the pics look exactly the same as my meteor mk.2 ser nos 41823A.

    Full length scope dovetails on a MkII? Did they change from the two pair of short rails part way through the production run? Maybe it's a MkII barrel grafted onto a later rifle.
    The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

    I think Harry mac is right, i overlooked the scope rails in the first pic. on my meteor the scope rails are the two pair type.

    Hi Nik,
    the trigger on your gun has a slightly different shape than mine as it enters the stock another dissimlarity. Richard.

    Meteor

    The Mark 2 was made from May 1962 to June 1966 and I have seen an early Mark 2 with a grooved stock and the 16mm scope stampings. I imagine your gun is a late Mark 2 with the full length scope grooves...NA for .177 and TA for .22.

    Meteor

    It looks to be complete and in reasonable nick so I would say, sight unseen, £60. Not as popular as the Mark 1 but probably a lot better than the later models.
