Can anyone shed any light on this please?

    Good afternoon gentleman,

I've been given an odd tool I'm told is a 'slug maker'

All I know is that it is very old, & the old chap who gave it to me said that if you placed a piece of lead at the bottom & turned the press down, it pushed out a crude airgun slug... that's all I can you & all I know.

Could any of you experts advise accordingly please, I'd be most grateful.

    Kind regards

    Michelle

Yep! definitely a slug maker! I't a long time since I saw one of those.
I would like to own one but not allowed to attempt to buy/beg on this thread.
Definitely a conversion piece! Drop it in a container of light oil for a few days and then clean it up - nice find! ATB Eric

Not worth a groat really Michelle, but a nice piece of history to own. It took me back over 55 years when I saw it. Eric

Have you tried to make a slug out of a lump of lead with this item?

If so what did it look like?

Did it resemble anything like a airgun pellet
If it's not broke don"t fix it!
