    Value for old BSA please

    Hi,
I have an old BSA in .22 which if its worthwhile I will sell. It is working but the blade of the rear sight is missing. The bluing has gone but it seems to have been replaced with a nice patina.
Please could some of you good people give me a realistic value for it?
    Thanks

Looks very much like the 'Breakdown pattern', 1933 to 1939, and in quite good condition by the looks of it.
I wouldn't worry about the colour of the barrel as long as it is not rusted or pitted. A regular wipe over with an 'oily rag' has probably saved it!
I have the feeling that a bit of elbow grease would work wonders on it.
The value in monetary terms is not that high, it all depends upon how much someone is willing to pay for a piece of Midlands history! ATB Eric

Blue Book price states $200 at 60%, $300 at 80% condition.

PREWAR has raised a valid point - If it is a 1933 -39 Breakdown Pattern, which I believe it IS. They were apparently only produced in .177!! NOW WHAT????

No etching left on the cylinder-I'm still burning with embarasment at getting the wrong calibre, thanks for the valuation.
