    Cp88 Help

I have not long brought a cp88 that was shooting ok then when I went to change the gas it was pissing out everywhere, I tried all the techniques to inserting a bulb but nothing would work so decided to strip it down and see what was up.

Anyway the valve seal looks ok no nicks or nothing and wonder wether its worth changing it now or just rebuild it after a clean? Can you buy seals online do you know please?

Also does anyone have a strip down guide either online or one you have done diy please as it would be very much apprechiated.

One other question I have ended up woth 2 small ball bearings and i`m unsure where they came from bit but pretty sure its something to do with the slide release?

Any help much apprechiated or someone local to Coventry to show me what to do. Thanks.

I’ve got the same problem atm with mine,
going to have to take it apart again and have another look.

I remember there being a ball baring in the slide release, its a pain in the arse getting it back in, you have to push it into the little hole as your pushing the slide release back into place.

I think there’s another one in the safety. But that ball is on my floor somewhere

Hi, Sol is bang on with the ball bearings, you should have 2 little springs that go in the holes before the ball bearings.

Are you using any lube on the capsule when you load it, try a drop of Pellgunoil or light weight engine oil on the end of the capsule before inserting. This is a common problem, the seal looks ok but has dried out causing it to leak.

Try the link below for diagram

Ah yer the springs i forgot about those, that’s what makes the balls a pain in the arse to stay in.

I think my problem is when I close the thing at the bottom of the grip, it goes up then drops back down slightly, so not being as tight as it should be?

I’m sure someone will be able to put it back together for you.
You could always bring it along to the ubc meet in may at the greyhound(in coventry)
id offer my services but there are infinitely more qualified guys around that could help, and if i did it, it would go back together with a spring and a ball baring missing

    I lost my ball.

    Then found it.

Then sent the thing to a gunsmith to fix a broken trigger return spring.

It came back without a ball.

    How big's the ball?

Is it worth soaking the seal overnight in some light oil?

    NO!
It has to be impervious to CO2 at 800psi, oil's not going to change it and could ruin it,

No, a drop on a c02 capsules can be enough to help seal.
