    Oil bottle

    Good evening gentlemen.

I have here an oil bottle, which is currently serving my air rifles but which I think in the 19th century served a revolver. It belonged to my father, who had a variety of antique Colts and Remingtons.

Does anyone know what sort of gun it matches?

It measures about 48mm tall in total, 22mm across the base and 28mm across the lid. Pictures below:

The o-rings are of course new!

    Thank you for your help

The oil bottle in your photographs is from a Cased Adams 54 Bore Revolver.
