John,
I last bought flint about four years ago. I filled the back of my car until the springs started to sag alarmingly and gave the quarry £25.
There's quite a skill to making gun flints. That's partly why there are so few doing it.
Steve.
Hi all, just wondering how much flint costs and if 'raw' natural flint can be used?
If so, I have a stack of black flint for swap or sale.
Thanks
John

They cost £1 each. I use a diamond tile cutting wheel to re edge/knapp them
Come to Norfolk and pick up as much of the stuff as you like off the ground. Of course turning your lump of shiny flint into a gun-flint will take some skill. (Which I don't possess, by the way)
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.
Thanks for all the info guys!!
John
