its just past royston and is starting up in two weeks time but lea valley is a bit closer for you

apart from the shooting ie is it just a open day or whats going on
in two weeks mate, 20-30 target hft course, zeroing and plinking ranges and a beer in the pub afterwards

Jim, if your in watford area and dont wish to travel to LV then you could always try BROOMHILLS in markyate ideal for knock downs plinking etc, plus they have got targets in the wooded area as well, so you could start trying your skill at HFT if you so choose.Originally Posted by jim_t

I go along with what Clubshot has said. I regularly travel from the North East of England to Practical Pistol and Iron Plate Action Shooting matches that are always held on Sundays. Every time I do I make sure that I travel on Friday just so that I can spend a day at Lea Valley so I think that's an indication of how good it is. Try it. It's friendly and with a wide variety of ranges and comps. As has been said, tea and coffee runs freely and meals are available. You can also get your stocks of ammo etc. topped up there so take some cash with you!
