Surely someone can explain the workings and fitting to me.

I recently became the proud owner of a Hammerli ap40 air pistol.
So far I have no bottle to recharge it.
What do I need to look out for, which fitting to I need to get.

Hi, i am not formiller with your air pistol but you should need an 300 bar air tank minimum size 3l and if you get from Blackpool Airguns they will come with the hose etc. All yo will need then is an adaptor to fit you gun (if it did not come with one) which you can get from BAR or best fittings.
The alternative is a manual pump which is good if you don have a diving shop near by to get your tanks refilled. again you will need an adaptor so that it fits.
Set Bazookoids to kill stuff and mount. We're going in!
Or a pump.
I use an RWS pump I bought second hand for £50 for my Rohm Twinmaster cylinders,

There should be a charge adapter with the gun. With most German 10m guns the air cylinder is removed from the gun and the adapter is screwed directly into the dive bottle valve. The cylinder is then screwed to the adapter and charged. Try the Walther website for instruction manual if you dont have one with the gun.
Avoid a pump due to excesive moisture content in the air.

Make every shot count.
As far as the cylinder is concerned if you can find a cheap Carbon fibre one it saves a lot of humping and muscle work.
Blackpool Guns is a good place to be -- - cylinder and diving centre so kill 2 birds with 1 stone also try and locate a local diving centre. Note the date of the cylinder as they have to be pressure tested I think its every 5 years and that can be expensive. Lovely air pistol

You need to get an Air Bottle with a gauge and a Din fitting. Bottles come in various sizes, 3, 5, 12, 15 litre. Bottle needs to be 200 Bar upwards. If it is a Divers Bottle and has an 'A' fitting it needs testing every 12 months and if it is an Air Bottle with gauge and Din fitting it needs testing every 5 years.
