Thank you I.J.
On my travels today I fond the following rare air rifles for sale.
A BSA Merlin .22 at Bamforths of Eccleston who also have a HW35 Export in .177 with Optima 4x32 and o/p mounts. From what I could see of it it had a very nice figured walnut stock.
A HW35 Deluxe in .22 at McAvoy Guns of Standish.
I hope that helps fellow collectors.
I have no interest in these sales so PLEASE, please dont contact me asking details but give the shops concerned a ring.

You could have bought me the HW35 as a present Ian. I am still waiting for my FWB Sport and need a classic to play with asap. If only I had loads of money. There again, I wouldnt have it that long because I would probably spend it all on guns. Stupid, but nice(like me.)
My partner is taking me away from all of this madness for a week,so I may well miss the airgunning emporium of next Sunday unfortunately. Bugger. Although I might try and talk her around to considering vast purchases of classic airgun gear as a sensible investment, I currently remain pesimistic!
See you all soon and hope the sale goes well on the 11th.
