Took a file to my Alecto this evening!

Wanted to get the Barska holographic sight mounted "properly". It didn't look right with the front sitting too high so I filed a groove for the front Weaver mounting bolt. About 40 minutes with a couple of needle files. Round ones because I wanted to remove the minimum material and have the best chance of it looking neat.

I'm quite pleased with the results. The bolt thread does touch the plastic within the groove but the sight sits level and it's really solid.

That's one of the neatest filing jobs on an Alecto that I've seen.....
