    B.S.A Airsporter RB2 stock

This came along with my B.S.A Stutzen about 18 months ago. I have no use for it and as far as my research can tell me it's a B.S.A Airsporter RB2 Stutzen stock. I'm 99% sure, but would welcome any info' on it, be it for an RB2, or some other Mk of Airsporter.

Condition wise, well, there is no major damage to the stock, but several minor dinks and marks, the worst being on the rose wood end cap. At some time with a previous owner the stock has been sanded back, but requires proper preparation and finishing to bring it back to life.

For photographs of the stock see here;- http://www.airgun-tec.com/index.php/topic,1214.0.html.

    I'm looking for £60 + postage.

Payment by cash (on collection) cheque or postal order. If paying by cheque or postal order, item will be sent when monies have cleared. Cost of postage to be notified after agreement to buy, but as it's just about 1m long, it could go via ordinary Royal Mail, just to give you some idea.

This stock is advertised elsewhere, so I reserve the right to withdraw it from sale without notice.

    Thanks for looking.

    Chris.

    No photos on that link

Cinstone the link goes to a gate not to your actual posting etc .
Is your Stutzen a tap loader ? and is the spare stock 'different' to that on your action ? With no 'dimple' to the left hand side .
If so its def a RB2 style stock .
[ which incidentally has a longer inlet than that on your complete Stutzen ]
If reverse of above then if a dimple present then its for an earlier tap action .
Unless its walnut and you have a Centenary stock -sim to the first tap action Stutzen .

Ah, things seem to have changed on Airgun-Tec.com.

The stock for sale does not have the dimple, so I assumed it to be for an RB2.

I'll post links in a bit.

    Cheers!

    Bump for an RB2 stock

Def a Rb2 stock - without dimple to left side ( for the tap load lever ) for a Rolling Breach version .
Also its a late version of this , with the schnable tip rounded off more and less pronounced than earlier RB2 and tap loader stocks .
These RB2 stocks can also allegedly take the earlier tap action but the action chamber on latter is shorter , so the fore part would need filling with some wood .

One of the nicest designed airgun stocks ever

Centenary stocks are beech by the way, not walnut.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

Bump for a Classic stock ....

Harry , not wanting to crash Cintone's Thread , but afraid the BSA Airsporter Centenary ( marked to top cylinder the ' 1 of 1000 ' ), sold as a special with gunbag and certificate and other bits , did come with a walnut stock .
At least in all those I've seen or handled . Not the best walnut mind , and from a distance a good original factory stained beech Stutzen stock like Cinstone's can actually look better . Stutzens were only ever released in beech .
[ The ref to "sim to the tap action St" refers to the left sided dimple for the tap lever].

How's that for a bump Cinstone
