    shooting jackets

    can any tel me the point in shooting in a big heavy lether jacket .
    i hated wearing them in work when welding.

    They stiffen yoy up for standers John, on a good day!
    Other than that, no real advantage to any other shooting jacket.

    They provide support to the upper body helping stability. They are primarily used for target shooting where you are shooting from a fixed position.

    Very true my learned compadre . but used in conjunction with other items of leather and such ... the joys know no bounds, almost as good as neophrene suits and a divers helmet ...
