Great day, a testing course and good for practicing all those positions we try to forget about. Enjoyed shooting the course with Wayne we had a laugh or 2. Great to see all the familiar faces from around the different clubs. Looking forward to the next one.

One of the hardest course i have shot at Shepreth.
The 8 and ten yarders looked as if they had been with a 12 bore .I willhave to get my eyes tested again as i could not see the mark i wanted to hit. I still enjoyed the shoot and company though.See you next time.

    Talking

Absolutely superb course; equal quantites of swearing and downright bemusement! Thoroughly enjoyed this one so well done to those who set it up.

Many thanks too to Chris who kindly let me share his Webley Mk.III as the piston rod in my Original 50B decided to make a bid for freedom minutes after being shown the zero range. With the open sights roughly set (okay, whalloped with a screwdriver butt one way and then tip-tapped back abit) we bravely (is that the right word?) ventured forth onto the course.
And what a course to try this on!!! For quite a few we had to employ Martin with his scoped Falcon as a spotter to give us a clue which direction the targets were in let alone where or what they were.
Oh, the sense of achievement when we heard a metallic *tink!* in the distance! More often than not it was either abject silence or one of a number of 'woody' sounds that we now have an NVQ level 1 identification in.
Our combined scores still fell short of matching Martin's!

Looking forward to the next one already .. come on folks, a few more of you ought to have a go at open sights, I promise you won't have laughed so much in yonks!

Like ya style Anne , open sights and words like yonks that were last used when everybody used open sights.
