I wish to thank everyone who had donated. I have enclosed an email from Andy & Graham tonight.

Hello All,
I thought I would bring everyone up to date, the delay is while I had a total to inform everyone about..
Graham and I finished the 268 miles with a final push of 26 miles from Byrness to The Borders Hotel in Kirk Yetholm on Friday 28th May. To our surprise we received a certificate and a half of our choice on the house. It did used to be a pint on Arthur Wainwright for completing the walk, but the tab he put behind the bar has long since dried up.
It seemed like an age since we had set off from Edale on Saturday 15th May, but overall we were blessed. Not only with our health but also with the weather, the ground was dry in most parts which made going easy. You could quite easily imagine poor weather and wet ground conditions could have made our journey a lot more uncomfortable. The hot weather we encountered brought its own burden of more weight to carry in the form of water, but you have to take the rough with the smooth.
The walk itself was well worth doing and for the most part was very picturesque, though the mooreland we encountered was quite barron with not much to see at all.
A special mention to Grahams good lady wife Clare who sorted out our admin, this brought much jealousy from fellow walkers attempting the same route, be it South to North or vice-versa.
One of the reasons was we were not restricted by accomodation locations, but providing there was a road could be picked up on an evening and start at the same spot the next day.
Many thanks on Behalf of Help For Heroes, Graham and Myself. With your help we have so far managed to raise £1600 which is over our inital target by a mile.
Thank you to those who donated and if you still want to or to read the messages of support we received the web site is still available at www.justgiving.com/andyandgrahamgoforastroll
