Smile Pedersoli moore flint lock in .36? any ideas???

    Hi Guys
came across this a few weeks ago and had to buy it.
Its a charles moore flint lock but in .36 cal rifled
I have a .44 of the same type so I thought a nice pair in the two cal would make a change.
I did some research before parting with a few £ and could find no record of this pistol in any of the books.
I think that it might have been a percusion at some stage and then converted to a flintlock.
I have to take my hat off if this is the case as its the most accurate pistol I have shot for many years. My old man has the le`page and the morti but after he shot with this he`s after one.
I dont think you can shoot any comps with it but it does save on the lead bill at the end of the month.
If you have any comments or ideas as to where this might have come from I would be greatful.
    cheers Glyn

Could it be a barrel off something else? Maybe a le page? I know it is not a straight swap, but if both have a hook breach a little engineering to fit may have been someone's project sometime in the past - maybe to make one gun out of two that were fit for parts only.

Is there a serial number on the barrel you could ask Pedersoli to check out?

Pedasoli just came back and gave me loading data for the .36.they said that they did not make the pistol in that cal.It has to be a conversion as the barrel setup is the same as my .44.
The workmanship is out off this world, who ever did this knew there onions.
I will send over a few pics this weekend for you all to browse over
