    Looking for an RO77

    Hello to everyone,
Going back in time when I was a kid/teenager down our street all the kids had airguns except me I was not allowed one my dad would not entertain them any shape or fashion. (Made me the street freak)

    Now 43 I can do what I want !!
What looking for is I dont know who made it is an air pistol called the
RO 72 -Short Barrelled version common version my mate had one.

But the ONE looking for is a RO 77 a longer barrelled version of this pistol.
If your from Grimsby in the 70s places we used to go shoot where back of Weelsby Woods , Peaks Tunnel part of a disused railway line
The docks - corporation dock in particular but we had to be careful the police / British Transport Police patrolled it regularlly .. let you get away with fishing there but not airguns allowed
Does anyone know if there is any available for sale please

Having done some more research on it , its made by Panther (Never heard of it!) and you could also get a metal skeleton stock that screwed into the back of the pistol
Which i never knew about .
    there you go

Still in production, it would appear.

I'm sure the short barrel pistol version has been imported into this country relatively recently.

    ro77

hi mate, i have one that i bought off here a while ago. thing is, in a fit of boredom, i stripped it down and polished it back to the bare metal. i think it looks good but may not have the nostalgaic qualities you're looking for. it comes with a cheapy scope and the original stock extension and dates (i think) from the late 70's early 80's. fires fine and is surprisingly accurate. i also have the ro71 too!

    Ro 71- 72- 77

Cheers Paul I remeber the 70s RO72 , now above reply / thread from Iiam you can still buy them or a modified version .
As for stripping airguns down ,, no..NO not me the bloke who takes something apart puts it back together and still have a bit left on the dining room table (DOH!).
But still interested in what the 70s version looked like though.
Now your saying they also had a scope too , or able to fit a scope??
