Just turn the cylinder upside down and align the cocking shoe with the rearmost, wider section of the cylinder slot. If you twist the piston until one side of the shoe is just inside the slot, the shoe should fall out or you can pull it out. The upper edges of the shoe are bevelled to help with this process.

For a quick solution, you can do this:-

    1. Remove barrel hinge pin and catch shims (one thin plain and one dished). Store hinge pin,
    screws and shims safely
    2. Release cocking lever and remove barrel aside to safe location – not now required until reassembly
    3. Rotate cocking lever shoe and remove through slot observing orientation– store safely
    4. Withdraw piston; clean and examine seal and rear bearing surface

There is a great stripping series on here too; worth a look - see sticky! Link is:-

Good luck. Is quite easy if one is methodical!

Just pretend for one minute that you dont want it to come out and the bugger will fall out !

THIS may be of some help.

I had one FWB 124 that i absolutely couldn't get the piston out! Some idiot had peened a dimple in the tube between the trigger and the disassembly bolt!

That dimple even made it a chore to get the trigger unit out,.....

......i had to back off the compressor a few MM's and use a wooden dowel and hammer to tap on the disassembly bolt,....tap tap tap,....then back out the compressor a few more MM's.

Eventually i got the trigger unit free, but the piston wouldn't clear the compression tube with the dimple still there. So i used my jeweler's flexable shaft machine and a small drum sander to remove it.

.....came out fine after that! lol

.....i ended up putting in a Maccari "Everest" full power kit and seal,......shoots hard and sweet now........

......hope that airgun mechanic retired! lol
