    oiled my stock

    i have an old battered theoben countryman that i have converted to spring power this gun shoots very well but had some dings and scrapes on the woodwork
    so i rubbed it down with sandpaper then soaked it in a bath with DAZ washing up liquid finaly finishing with wire wool
    i used a TRADE SECRET stock finishing kit to restore the oil finish and THIS is how it turned out

    Marvelous work Mal! Just finished doing a stock myself. I must admit that it is for me a labour of love. Its great when they turn out as good as your Theoben. Love the tiger stripes!

    about an hour then dried it with a heat gun it goes all furry and when you rub it with wire wool it becomes smooth as a babys bum

    it was really about stripping out the seals of the ram and making a sleeve to hold the spring in place of the gasram / hope that makes sense the trigger cocking link ETC work exactly the same / although i have to say its much smoother as a springer

    your going to laugh but its an old feinwerkbau sport spring i had lying about
    i had changed it during a service but didnt need to but i had ordered one so i stuck it in
    it does 11 point odd ft lbs and is really easy to cock
