    Only a temporary setback, Spongey

A big thankyou to Dereck, Dave, Steve and all the team at Horsham-your new ground is superb-shooting through all that Rhododendron ponticum reminded me of my shoots back in the Lakes

It was clear to all, that you have all put in a tremendous amount of work preparing the ground for this shoot-for which we are grateful
Great venue, great course, great people
    Never go off half cocked....

I'm beginning to worry about Spongey. He's building up his dream of winning so high that a win at a round gets treated like Mileoak has won the series. What with Buxted being the next round, I don't know if Spongey will be able to take the crushing psychological blow of a defeat. He could become a shattered shell of a man, like Nostradamus ('the pub bore'- it's a work joke) after his first prediction turned out to be a load of tosh. Will he end up the Phantom of the Sihft, hanging around shoots stinking up the place singing Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice tunes? There's only one way to find out, tune in on the afternoon of 6th June Sihft fans. Same Sihft time, same Sihft channel.

There is a possibility that the pain killers have kicked in whilst I typed all this

This just in-covert footage from our man on "the inside" at Oakies HQ

Winning the SIHFT seems to be an all-consuming desire for Spongey
