im looking at the cometa indian as a pistol for some targets my budget is around 150 pounds and i want a spring pistol any thoughts on the cometa indian
also i forgot to mention would it be possible to fit fiberoptics to the cometa indian some how (im guessing not but has any one done it)
Just dropped on a second hand one in local town, like new £120, Feels very nice and robust, nice and smooth cocking action, fits the hand very nice, have yet to put it over chrono but reading other posts seem very high powered for a pistol. good luck in your search

I had one for a while. Very well built. The unique cocking action is effortless. Very accurate.
Only down side for me was the trigger which was really quite heavy. I wouldn't say it was the best for target shooting.
If you really want a springer the Weihrauch HW45 is a much better solution.

I've got an Indian and like it a lot, it is pretty powerful but is also quite accurate, despite the sights not being too great. They're ok, and simple, and do the job plenty well enough for plinking and informal target shooting. I don't find the trigger that heavy, I think it's one of those triggers that will improve with use or a polish though. The materials seem good and it is an original, unusual design. I have to say I prefer it to my HW45, but then HW45s leave me a bit cold.

Update on chrono test,
JSB Heavy 10.34grains average@ 355fps @ 2.9ft-lbs
JSB Normal 8.44grains average @ 405fps @ 3.0ft-lbs
so not as powerfull as described, only shot @ 20 pellets through it though and it might have been stood in shop a while so will test later when bedded in properly.
on the plus side it feels well made and dead easy to cock, the pellet loader take minutes to get the nack of, trigger is not that bad and to be fair its not got a lot of recoil, fairly quiet too, overall im quite liking it, if the power picks up then it will be quite a nice pistol, im sure that if the power does not increase someone will be able to tune it for me!!
hope this helps in your choice,
ps I cant see any way of fitting a better sight system as there is no groove to fit any mounts to, possibly a trigger guard mounted red dot but not sure will have to see how it pans out.
