    black powder substitute

    hi i have a .44 muzzle loading pistol on my ticket i dont want to apply for an explosives certificate my question is are black powder subsitutes safe and in what quantities or would i be best looking at a nitro conversion

    I use Pyrodex, same volume as for BP, I use 20-28gns. Technically it's probably safer than BP.

    Talking triple 777

    I use Hodgdons Triple 777 fffg 20- 25 grains depending which pistol or 2.5 grains Bullseye in my nitro conversion cheers Tezz

    hi thanks for the replies i was just slightly worried about some of the horror stories i have heard about but i will have a look this weekend thanks
