    Bad news about Jan McArthur

Hello, Mates! Many of you have sent messages expressing concern over my recent eye problems, and I'm thankful for your concern. As mentioned, I am healing.

Unfortunately, our household is facing more serious health problems: my wife Jan was diagnosed yesterday as having uterine cancer.

Although the doctor says iit is the "aggressive" type, it seems to have been caught early, and she is scheduled for surgery on 11 June. Examination of removed tissue will let us know whether it has all been caught in time.

I will post further updates as we learn more, but that's all we're likely to know until after the operation.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

You can rest assured of that Jim.
I do hope all goes well and can't begin to imagine the stress you both must be going through right now.
They can do wonders nowadays if caught early, let's hope it is so in Jan's case. 11th cannot come quickly enough now. Please reassure Jan we will all be hoping and praying for a positive outcome.

    Keep us posted.

Best wishes to you both Jim. Surgery for this condition has a very high success rate -especially in the USA-so the outlook is promising.
Our thoughts are with you both.
