    Jim,
I can't put into words how sad Nuala and I are at this distressing news. We know how tough these times are and will be holding you two in our hearts. We wish there was something we could do to help you both through this but all we can do is offer our sincere best wishes and prayers, which we do unreservedly. Give our love to Jan and I am sure the entire Umarex Boys (and girls) Club are pulling for you guys.

    All the best

    Jan's home from the hospital!

Yes, she came home this morning! Now begins several weeks of recuperation at home. We're also waiting for the results of lab tests - we should have more info by Friday, or Monday. Then we'll know whether / what sort of alternative treatment (radiation, chemo) she might have to undergo.

Everyone, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

    GOOD news!

Jan just got her lab report.

The doctor said that the tumor had perforated her uterus, but they were unable to determine that any cancer had spread. However, as a purely precautionary measure, they want her to undergo 6 weeks of radiation treatment.

Her next doctor's appointment is on 2 July, so we will know more then about when they want her to commence therapy.

More treatment is never really good news, but it IS good news that there is no actual evidence of any cancer remaining in her body.

So, we're happy, and we're thankful for all the thoughts and prayers of all of our good UBC and BBS friends.

Thumbs up Thanks to you all!

    Hello Friends,

It has been about 10 days since the surgery, and Jim and I did a short (very) twirl in the living room today after hearing that there is no cancer in the lymph nodes or any other area that they tested.

I will go through six weeks of radiation to make sure that they didn't miss any stray cancer cells (kind of like shooting an Uzi into the forest to make sure that you got all of the vermin ).

I feel great, and just have a few aches and pains occasionally, so am hoping to be back at the competition next week.

I appreciate all of your concern and prayers!
