    Martini Ammo preferences .22lr

What would consider to be the best consistent ammo for 100m Martini Mark V ?
Have been trying out CCI Mini- mag Blazer etc but suspect Eley or Lapua subs are going to be the best.
    Finding HV ammo groups inconsistent
Also on an open range what groups might I expect

I use Tenex (comps) or Match EPS (Practice) in my MkII with good success, averaged 98 in the last postal league I shot :-)

HV ammo is not always a good thing for targets. I'd go for RWS R50, Lapua Centre X, Eley Match, Eley Tenex if you're minted !!

Any of the match type ammunition even the likes of Eley Club, or the RWS equivalent will give you better results than the HV ammunition that you have been trying, although Eley Match or RWS R50 should give you better results at 100 yards, which is pushing it for .22lr. If you can find a good batch then it should comfortably hold the NSRA 100 yard bull, but you will need to be able to read the wind well to keep it there, even from a bench.

Always had trouble with Lapua in my Martini's, after a few rounds the extraction becomes problematic, same with other Martini's at my club. I suspect it's the lube used, builds up quickly making the extraction difficult, a quick clean solves the problem but it returns again after 50 rounds or so.
I stick with Eley for them now.
