    Bell Target.......where to find?

    Friends,

Where can I find an authentic, vintage bell target? They seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.

Hens teeth are relatively common compared to a genuine pre war bell target, particularly the pre 1st war cast iron ones.
I suggest you start going to church, (if you do not already) and start praying!
I think they must all have either been thrown away after having been shot to death, or else melted down to assist the war effort.

Try contacting the N.S.R.A West Midlands Regional Shooting Centre at Aldersley, near Wolverhampton.

The last time I was there, which was a few months ago, they had a couple for sale. They didn't seem very old, but made to fit the rules in the traditional way. Very solid too. The one I looked at was £40, but I bet it would cost a bit to post as they are quite a weight.

    Ring after 18.00hrs.

Far too many rifles & pistols to mention here.

Interesting indeed, thank you! I submitted my request for their newsletter and Yahoogroup membership.

I have a few pics of an old one, plus one that I made HERE

I may have the plans somewhere that I did at the time I made it.

Guys, thanks for all the replies..

I do go to church, so maybe I'll be fortunate!

Jonathan, I don't making my own bell target. Would you be willing to post those plans?

    Hi James,

Don't know if you have noticed but there are plans for a bell target (in .pdf and .Doc format) in the download section, at the link that Ed provided -> here.

Jonathon, if you still have your bell target plans I'm sure a few of us would like them, please...
