Buying a air-rifle

Has your son been to a club and shot some different rifles....indeed has he shot a rifle at all ?? Before spending your hard earned, take him to a club if you havent all ready, this will also give your son some safety guidance learn some skill in advance of getting his own.

My son has just started getting intrested in it now, you know how teenagers can be one day it's one thing the next another, but he's been persistant about this .

I think it's computer games that have intrested him, Ican't blame him, when I was a lad we had nothing like that

Would agree about try before you buy, there are a few shops that offer this but can't think of one in London.

Not sure where in London your from but may be worth a visit to Lea Valley (www.lvagc.com) large friendly safe airgun club near Hertford. First Visit Free! All visitors get a 'tour' and a safety briefing.

On any given Saturday there are c. 50 members at the club so probably upto 100 guns around. Most members more than happy to discuss their guns. good / bad points etc and let someone have a few shots to get an idea .

We also have club guns available for daily hire of £5 which includes air & pellets (refills & air £1)

As has been said, take him to a good club a few times, he may go off the idea so saving your cash. As you said things in favour today may be old hat tomorrow.
