    Which postal service for pistols?

Is Royal Mail good enough for sending pistols, or is it better to use a courier?
What service do you use, and what sort of price would a proper courier charge?

    Thanks a lot

Yes, but that's because you've never posted anything!

Depends upon the couriers T&C's,if they will not carry firearms and you send one through them and they spot it,then they can refuse to refund you.

The royal mail is the only one that is legally obliged to deliver Firearms AFAIK but I would use Special delivery.

My Dad was also a Postman.

Royal Mail Special Delivery - resonably priced (ie less than a tenner) insured and guaranteed delivery before 1pm next day.
